Jolene (Jessica Chastain) is a red-haired wanderer who isn't content to call one place home for any expended stretch of time. I can’t shake the feeling that Jessica Chastain slept her way up to the top of her acting career through the character of the brutally naïve Jolene. I mean, even her voice sounds naïve. It wasn’t awful, but I didn’t really root for her. For the two whole hours, I felt like she was just creating her own problems and I only paid real attention when boobs were on the screen.
