A történet főszereplőjét Terezkának hívják. Imádja Piroska és a farkas történetét, gondoskodó szülei vannak, az óvodában pedig ott a legjobb barátja, Simon. Így akár élhetne boldogan élete végéig, ha nem a valóságban lennénk. Hirtelen Terezka kezdi elveszteni a talajt a lába alól, az anyukája, majd fokozatosan az összes felnőtt kezd furcsán viselkedni, az egyetlen, aki el tudja őt látni tanáccsal, az a barátja, Simon. Neki világos a dolog. Terezka anyukáját kicserélték a földönkívüliek. Elég egyetlen villaszúrás, egy seb, amely azonnal beheged, és máris világon a bizonyíték. Terezkára így nagy kalandok várnak. Igyekezetében, hogy megvédje az igazi anyukáját, sok veszéllyel kell szembenéznie, talán még az éhes farkassal is. (Anjou Lafayette)

The problems and strife of the "adult world" seen through the eyes of a little girl. Maria Procházková has inherited good screenwriting and artistic genes, and although her story is not groundbreaking and has been told before in many variations, she has imprinted her film with a unique artistic sensibility that makes it stand out when it comes to comparisons. It also excels because of its slightly naive and playful undertone, just like the inner life of a young child with a vivid imagination. It's a shame that it was such a flop in theatres.

What does a family crisis look like from the perspective of a preschool-age girl? Very interesting. Who's Afraid of the Wolf is on a European level technically, in the acting and the script, and shows that Czech cinema doesn't automatically have to equal the boredom we usually see.

In essence, it has a very simple plot with a message that seems to have come out of bachelor stories; however, the execution is skillful and inventive. Maria Procházková can work with human emotions and use a childishly naive view of the world of adults. The performances of the children are believable and charming, and one does not get the feeling of any simplistic emotional manipulation. Otherwise, as for the cast, I have had a long-standing issue with Jitka Čvančarová as an actress - she is a type of telenovela actress with the appearance of a professional mistress. I don't believe in her as a caring mother, and I don't believe in her attempt at character acting either. Overall impression: 70%. A nice small Czech film, which probably wouldn't succeed in the world. It lacks a more developed script, dialogues, and a lot more.

Maria Procházková has quite imperceptibly become the most original contemporary Czech directors. Who's Afraid of the Wolf is excellent. The unusually great pre-schoolers Dorotka Dědková and Matouš Kratina should be cast more often in films a TV series. Unbelievably, Jitka Čvančarová and Pavel Řezníček are also good actors. We simply have to appreciate and give great ratings to such a film and open our eyes and be happy that Czech cinema is still alive and well.
