Messiah: The Harrowing

I'm not sure what to think. The film attempts to be something similar to what the dark thriller Se7en became in the United States. But looks like a TV film and above all has an exaggerated length divided into two feature-length TV films. Moreover, it seems somewhat over-complicated to me, with a surprising (and improbable) culprit revealed at the very end. The viewer may be enticed by several truly shocking murders and a certain naturalism in the portrayal of criminal acts, but to be honest, due to the drawn-out pace, there is no captivating atmosphere, and there is a lack of any action elements as well. To be honest, I consider the revelation of how the culprit's thinking and actions are guided to be a success worthy of Sherlock Holmes. Overall impression: 45%. (2010.05.13)
