Czech modern day TV action crime movie. Sounds a little fishy, don’t you think? A project that failed due to the directing. A shaky camera and rabid editing won’t make a second Greengrass out of him. Petr Kotek would have to have at least some talent or feeling for pace of storytelling. Although the screenplay doesn’t belong in the highest qualitative category, but I think that if it had been supported by a decent budget and a more reliable director, it could form the foundations of a good movie. After watching it, Škodná (Vermin) has the aura of a pleasant project but without the aura of a quality work. Maybe next time. (2007.09.03)
