The start of the fifth season felt painfully slow to me. It seemed like the creators were tiptoeing around, careful not to ruffle any feathers, sticking to safe and familiar ground. It was an episode of the 'neither here nor there' variety, with only a few moments that stood out. Overall, it was too much of a filler episode for my taste, which is a shame. / Lesson learned: When someone says they don't like surprises, don't try to surprise them.
