Mandel magának való fotós, aki a gazdag német feleségétől való csúnya válás küszöbén áll. Életét feldúlja a bosszúvágytól fűtött Plender, akinek meggyőződése, hogy régi sérülését a fényképész okozta gyermekkorában. A megszállott őrült egy gyilkossági ügybe keveri Mandelt, egy modell előbb emberrablással vádolja meg a fotóst, majd a nőt később holtan találják a férfi autójában. Mandelből így a rendőrség első számú gyanúsítottja lesz. Ugyanakkor Plender beférkőzik a fotós gyanútlan családjának bizalmába. (HBO Europe)

The problem with this film lies not in working with a worn-out plot that has been used a hundred times - after all, the motive of hatred and revenge is eternal - it's rather that in an effort to achieve proper effects, it pushes too hard, forgets about logic, and drowns itself in genre clichés. From the escape from the judicial palace, the game that started promisingly becomes an increasingly stronger spasm, burying the decent casting (in some cases going against established role types - see the sympathetic performance of Pierre Richard). Overall impression: 40%.
