Considering the first movie, I have complained several times during the series that the creators ignored gore and instead focused on avoiding the camera. However, this is definitely not the case in the ninth installment, as gore is absolutely stunning and the filmmakers were not afraid to embrace it. There are elements in this movie that you have not seen in the series before and that you have definitely missed. Within the series, "Friday the 13th Part 9" is truly a unique film, both in a positive and negative sense.
