Toy Story 3.

The Toy Story grew up together with its longtime childhood admirers. We were like Andy in the first installment, and even though we are now older than him in the third installment, it still works. With extremely touching nostalgia, a perfect escape from prison, and the conclusion of Andy's saga, where everything falls into place. Pixar created a timeless trilogy that will never age, no matter where the next adventure takes place. (2011.02.12)

Toy Story 3 met my expectations about halfway. I suppose I was expecting it to be a bit more daring and I consider the "Prison Break" a severely missed opportunity. Those few winks at older viewers left me quite calm, so I spent over an hour admiring how good the world looks in HD. Then the toys joined hands and I got an emotional punch that brought tears to my eyes that lasted until everyone was sitting on the lawn. In terms of its runtime, though, it seems pretty short to me. Toys make childhood childhood. Can you imagine life without toys? And can toys life without us? This touching story from the fantastic world of toys will move, delight, and make you laugh... Proof that imagination has no limits. My enthusiasm for Toy Story has not diminished even after the 3rd instalment, which was no less interesting than the previous two. (2010.10.30)

Only exceptionally can the third part of the free series be said to surpass its predecessors. It is a surprisingly mature film that works excellently with human emotions and, although overflowing with sentiment, manages to dose it so cleverly that at least in my case it struck the right chord and I was more excited about Toy Story 3 than the surrounding crowd in the movie theater. It is a story of the inevitable end of a fateful relationship and the resulting life changes, such as the departure of children from home and the establishment of new families. The toys in the household, in which they have spent their entire existence, must come to terms with the boy's coming of age and his departure to college. As a second theme and genre setting, it is a film about rebellion against established orders, in this case against the dictatorship of the pink beast named Lotso alias the adorable plush teddy bear, and about a grand escape that competes in precision and inventiveness with any exciting contemporary thriller. The screenplay and technical aspects of the film are at a top level, and Toy Story 3 made the best impression on me. I rank it among the absolute best animated blockbusters right after Shrek and Ratatouille. Overall impression: 95%. (2010.06.21)

The most mature (but not the best) Pixar, this time following in the footsteps of the runaway classics whose clichés it playfully and imaginatively plays with. It’s almost surprising how much it has in "feeling" in common with Svěrák's Kooky, and not just because of the pink Teddy-bear. (2010.06.19)
