angol I finally caught up with this two-part cult-classic based on a famous anime and is undoubtedly an excellent mystery crime affair that can still captivate after years. The film has a great story about the Death Note, which gives the main character the power to kill anyone just by knowing their name and face. He cleanses the city of crime, but the genius detective L is after him, and the duel between two intelligent people really entertained me. It is thrilling, enjoyable, filled with unexpected twists, and the unpredictability of the plot is definitely a big plus. It's a bit disappointing that most deaths are just heart attacks, and if there was a possibility to come up with different ways of death, the creators could have done better in that regard. It could have had the potential to be like the Japanese version of Final Destination, but it rather stayed only in the detective and mysterious storyline, which disappoints me a bit as a horror fan, but I am still satisfied. The second part seemed even more entertaining and intense. The cards are dealt, and the plot moves forward faster. The beautiful Erika Toda as a new character on the scene is a big plus, and the plot twists didn't stop surprising me until the intense finale, which cleverly and precisely knocked me down. Anime fans might have a few objections, but I enjoyed it. 8/10. ()

angol Given that I haven't read the manga all the way through (mainly because the whole thing hasn't been released in Czech yet), I feel like I've missed out on understanding what the comic's punchline will be directly on the comic pages. However, what I've received in the form of a movie is good. The ending is exactly in the spirit of how I sometimes think. Not necessarily in the sense that I want to establish the one correct order, but in the sense of asking, what is justice anyway? It's an interesting contemplation and the demonic elements work really well. However, it's still slightly better on the comic pages. ()
