Dan Turner, Hollywood Detective

It's a crazy mishmash of old clichés, and the sets and costumes are downright cheap, but surprisingly, it all works quite nicely. It's a small homage to tough school detective stories. Hollywood in 1947 has never been more entertaining, Dan Turner has a great inner voice, slang that matches his character, and all the women fall for him completely. The queen among them is of course Vala Duvalle played by the sexy Tracy Scoggins. (2023.03.13)
