Převeliké klanění právě narozenému Jezulátku aneb Betlém

A strange piece of work. Whether it is intended for children or adults, I dare not say, but the former will probably be frightened (the scenes with the Devil, Death and Herod have really strong horror elements and are no joke) and the latter will be confused. The over-the-top bowing is such a bizarre spectacle that Jiří Pecha playing Joseph is almost the most normal thing it has to offer. The director was obviously under the influence of something, and so was J. A. Pitínský, when he wrote this story full of very uneven rhymes, unfunny humor and pearls such as the racist insinuations of two white kings against a third black king (played by Arnošt Goldflam).
