Miután rááll a dologra, különös események történnek körülötte. (UIP-Duna Film)

angol I'm quite disappointed with the failed plot and Steve Carell absolutely couldn't handle the role. I've been giving movies starring Carell a wide berth since I saw this would-be comedy. 2 stars by the skin of its teeth. ()

angol Two and a half stars. I hardly noticed the dizzyingly abysmal difference between the quality of Evan Almighty and its predecessor. Almost because I was incredibly annoyed by two characters in particular - the congressman's black aide, who "hilariously" glossed over just about every sentence of anyone else she was on set with, and her dimwitted young colleague played by Jonah Hill (a terrible jerk). Otherwise, I think that this film is mostly relaxing and quite harmless; that is, if you are prepared for the fact that it is a USA family film, which definitely (unfortunately) cannot lack moral lessons, wisdom about basic values, etc. Steve Carell didn't disappoint (who wouldn't be amused by the self-defeating montage at the beginning of the ark building?), Morgan Freeman is God. Just like John Debney. ()

angol The biggest disappointment this week. At least according to what I saw. Jim Carrey is a brilliant comedian, Steve Carrell showed that comedy can be a problem for him. He just yells for half of the movie and can't believe what's happening, and in the second half of the movie, he convinces people that he's actually a new Noah. "Divine Evan" appeals to politicians, to our behavior towards nature, to everything we do wrong. He makes fun of it, but the film isn't funny, it tackles serious topics, yet you can't swallow it when birds are pooping everywhere. The digital animals aren't impressive, just like the other effects. The film lacks humor and has a long way to go to teach us something. No, this is just bad. A comedy that died because someone didn't read the script. More: http://www.filmovy-denik.cz/2012/04/diar-milovnika-filmu-c-0004-hugo-buh.html ()

angol Bruce Almighty was about how a loser becomes God. Evan Almighty is about how a rich congressman becomes a bearded Noah. I suppose the joke likes in the “transformation" with typical funny scenes (Evan hitting his finger with a hammer, Evan bothered by a dog, Evan stalked by birds, Evan can’t shave off his beard etc.) and a very bad Steve Carell is certainly no excuse for dumb jokes like this. I gave two stars are probably just for the nice shots of the Ark, a couple of wisecracks from Morgan Freeman, for Lauren Graham and the silver Hummer. Never again. ()
