angol Who is Marc Evans and why hasn't he made another decent film after Snow Cake? I don’t get it. But it doesn't really matter that much. Even if just this one film was made under his direction, it would be worth it. An uneasy story, told with ease, that perhaps gave all the actors some of the best roles of their careers. The interplay between Sigourney Weaver and Alan Rickman is absolutely flawless (especially the scene with the scraping of the sign from the "sunshine cake" during which Alex holds back his laughter,), Carrie-Ann Moss and particularly Emily Hampshire, on whose short but all the more important performance the whole film is based, are also flawless, I loved the minimalistic music and the clever, harsh and funny script, which did not try to cheaply bring me to tears every second minute, but dosed all the emotions sensitively, slowly and thoughtfully. Snow Cake warmed me up. ()

angol Snow Cake does honor to its name. Beautiful on the outside, a sparkling cast, but inside the atmosphere is cold and immediately the first mouthful confirms the expected. And that is that you can’t expect any particular taste from snow. Simply a forgettable movie about forgiveness and simple mutual understanding that we’ve seen thousands of and just during the time it took to write this review, a few more have been come into existence.
