An amazing western with all the trimmings, I would even say one of the best ones made outside the so-called golden era of the genre. Tom Selleck as a 100% likable man wields a sharpshooter that thunders beautifully, Alan Rickman as a slimy bad guy can play absolute contempt with perhaps a wink, excellent action scenes, a bombastic Poledouris score and an attractive Australian setting with Aborigines instead of Indians, cows instead of horses and dingo dogs instead of wolves. Don't worry about the runtime.
