A boarding school set a great park, cut off from the outside world by a huge wall with no door. A group of girls aged between seven and twelve gathers around a coffin. The coffin lid opens, revealing a six-year-old girl. Her name is Iris. This is her new home. There are no adults here, save for several old servants and two young teachers: Mademoiselle Edith and Mademoiselle Eva. (forgalmazó hivatalos szövege)

angol No film in a long time has given me such a hard time as this distinctive retelling of Wedekind by Lucile Hadžihalilović. In this case, the rule applies that whoever survived the first half an hour wins, because after that the little girls are joined by several adult characters played by real actresses, but my reading was complicated by my previous knowledge of another adaptation of the same text, The Fine Art of Love: Mine Ha-Ha. If I had to choose a more cinematically acceptable version, it would be the latter, because adolescence is dearer to me than childhood. Nevertheless, I appreciate two such diametrically opposed approaches to the same substance. ()
