Louisiana mocsaraiban mindig is nyüzsögtek a veszélyes ragadozók, de ilyen vérszomjas szörnyeteg még soha nem fenyegette az itt élőket. Egy óriás, génmanipulált ragadozó hal les áldozataira a vízben. Útját a parton szétszórt, megcsonkított holttestek jelzik. A hatóságok legjobb embereiket bízzák meg a brutális lény megfékezésével. A szörnyeteg azonban vízben és szárazföldön is képes lélegezni, gyorsan mozog, az étvágya pedig csillapíthatatlan. (RTL Klub)

Anyone expecting more than just gratuitous brutality should better avoid this film. The first act is awfully boring, the rest is nothing but a cocktail of blood, severed limbs and a cliché about a deadly, mutated giant predator. The director apparently decided to focus not on a coherent plot, but only on a series of unpredictable and properly gory deaths, culminating in the final slaughter of the monster, which was really amusing. It's not a complete waste of time, but there's no way the film can get out of the sub-par.

The American horror film Frankenfish is a fine B-movie that may entertain you, but you mustn't expect anything special from it. I suppose I wanted something more from the film, which I didn't get. I was fundamentally not entertained by it, and the added value of the exaggeration didn't seem enough to me. Although in conclusion, I would like to point out that as far as the special effects are concerned, the CGI used here is not bad at all.
