Mindkét helyzet kérdéseire választ kapunk a romantikus filmben. (RTL Gold)

angol A sympathetic romantic comedy that was created as a hybrid of traditional studio production methods from the US and British humor, along with the performances of several pleasant British actors. The script cleverly combines two parallel stories of the same characters in the style of what would happen "if." The heroine faces her partner's infidelity, who pays for his weakness in both storylines. Gwyneth Paltrow lives up to her star status and sells not only her charm and acting skills but also her artistry. Overall impression: 75%. ()

angol Peter Howitt works with the parallel destinies of the protagonist, which are predetermined by missing the subway. The point of the film is much more interesting than its somewhat long course, but the fact remains that Gwyneth Paltrow is really beautiful (in all the forms she takes on in the film) and the other acting performances of this atypically-narrated love story are well above average... It's skilfully shot, sweetened with feeling and pleasant with every inch. Which doesn't change the fact that it could have been better if the film hadn't kept everything remarkable for its form and added a bit of invention to the predictable content. ()

angol A huge hit in its day, now a relic of an era where all the important British films had John Hannah in a supporting role. Gwyneth Paltrow has always been a different kind of star. Although at first glance a fragile blonde, her roles have often been in contrast or opposition to her looks and here it has come across very nicely. A grey mouse in ordinary boring clothes hurts herself by staying in a poor-quality relationship. A girl with a new zest for life changes her outward appearance, focuses on her strengths and immediately her self-confidence gives her a slightly different life story because it is never possible to detach from the original mouse. It’s nice to think about. The script is very rich, and it's a nice refresher on the classic romcom concept, but I'd still prefer it if the sets weren't so dryly British. Yet what is dry to one person is something perhaps another seeks out. ()

angol Fun what-if romantic movie. The variation of similar situations in two timelines feels forced at times, but fortunately it doesn’t affect the overall positive feeling. Gwyneth Paltrow and John Hannah are likeable protagonists, John Lynch is a fun fool and Jeanne Tripplehorn is a great monster. In short, a nice romantic story with an original premise and good casting. ()

angol A standard British confection with an inevitable happy ending, but which cannot be denied an amazing storyline and an imaginatively crafted and, above all, original story structure. Of course, with such an ambitious premise, the question arises more than elsewhere whether much more could have been made of it, but I don't think that's the problem with Sliding Doors – it offers us so much genteel humour, fresh twists and turns, incredibly likeable performances and maybe (God forbid!) even life's truths, that I personally can’t ask for more... 80% ()
