Die Verrohung des Franz Blum

Franz Blum robs a bank, gets locked up for five years and comes to know a world where life is brutal and direct: Might makes right, the strong rule and humiliate the weak. Blum realizes he has to fit in and follow the rules, learns to use them to his ends and starts to develop his own power, learning to game the system and maneuver his way to the top of the hierarchy.
