magyar A légszennyezés okozta savas eső témája önmagában is túl sok egy magát komolynak tettető katasztrófa drámához. A forgatókönyv semmi érdekességgel nem rukkol elő, csak klisékkel dolgozik, ráadásul minél közelebb kerül a fináléhoz, annál kirívóbb hülyeséggel teszi ezt. Ami szinte akaratlanul is paródiává válik. Csak egyetlen jelenete, amelyben valahol a film közepén egy fontos szereplő váratlanul meghal, érzelmes és hatásos. Egy átlagon aluli, felesleges francia zsánerfilm. ()

angol The apocalyptic premise of the planet being engulfed by extreme acid rain (practically equivalent to highly concentrated acid raining down from the heavens) is a loaded idea, and makes for a decidedly very cheerless and physically unpleasant film. It's a shame they didn't come up with anything much cleverer to go with it than the characters' constant chaotic flight from recurring danger. Once it gets going, Acid is a fairly intense thriller and you certainly won't be bored with it. But it also suffers from the common affliction of disaster movies where characters in crisis situations either behave strangely, completely stupidly, or deal with things that are utterly irrelevant at the time, which is quite annoying at some points in the story. angol I must admit that until the last 15 minutes I was having fun :) It's probably all a bit far-fetched, in particular the ending, but if you expected it and if you tune in to the wave and decide to play the game, I don't think you'll be offended. I guess there really are a lot of lapses in logic and absurdities, and I decided not to notice them so much or to forgive them. Anyway, what irritated me a lot was the character of the fifteen-year-old rebel Selma, whom I felt like slapping. Ungrateful, whiny little brat. I really liked it visually, the scene when Selma runs out of the forest with the horses, and the black clouds behind them – beautiful. [Festival de Cannes 2023] ()
