Father Ted, the responsible one of the bunch, is challenged with the difficult task of overseeing the simple-minded Father Dougal and the cranky, alcoholic Father Jack. Father Ted has his work cut out for him keeping himself and his colleagues out of trouble and rectifying the ridiculous situations they find themselves in, all-the-while avoiding the scornful eye of Bishop Brennan. Possibly the most Monty Python-ish "non-sketch" series with no Monty Python involvement. The scene from the Christmas special, when a bunch of priests get lost among the racks of women's underwear in a department store, will always be memorable to me. This is probably the best parody of clichéd military movies I've ever seen.
