A film inspired by an encounter with director Vláčil. The novice set off to see a retiring film director, a master, the work of which we have always respected, in order to approximate the thinking, feeling and output through his film; therefore to make a film itself. It was the work of circumstances that he has remained with old man and he has forgotten about the film making for some time. As the old director had died our novice felt lonely. The time during which they were seeing each other fulfilled him but he didn't know how to keep his resolution, even though he knew how to make a film. (forgalmazó hivatalos szövege)

angol I guess I'm not the right audience for John Woo. The really memorable shootout was the final one, but otherwise I can't say that any other scene "blew my mind". Even the story itself didn't strike me emotionally, rather I was intrigued by the naivety with which Woo wrote it. In this respect, the hard-to-believe deep friendship between a police officer and a professional killer plays a major role. For me, the characters were unbelievable, as were the lines they sometimes uttered and the motives behind their actions. Then it's hard to fall in love with such a film, no matter how deadly the pace. ()
