Ragnar waves goodbye to his wife Ellen who is off on a charter trip with some women friends. But Ellen never comes back... Devastated, Ragnar collects the little box which contains her ashes. He places the ashes in a beautiful urn and together with his son and his son's young net-stockinged girlfriend, Ragnar attempts to take his wife to her final resting place under the lilac-bush by the summer cottage Spring of Joy.
