angol An incredibly pleasant Mel Gibson and Kurt Russell. A typical 1980s plot and a third, female role – Michelle Pfeiffer. What more could I want? This was an incredibly relaxed and chill movie that I’ll be happy to re-watch, even many times over. ()

angol Of the five prominent American actors, four of them had star status and were at the peak of their popularity at the time this was filmed. However, they were involved, as it often happens in the acting life, in the production of a hopelessly average film, which could be described by me as dull and unremarkable. Both Mel Gibson and Kurt Russell were action movie stars, but this case is different. The film plays at being a psychological crime drama, but it's too talkative, the direction is bland, and the script, which plays with the phenomenon of heavily tested friendship, is only average, and thus there are too many negatives here to be saved by several acting legends. I could give it a weaker 3 stars, but the ethical aspect of the film doesn't sit well with me. When an unsympathetic colleague gets on your nerves, feel free to shoot him in the back like the detective played by Kurt Russell, and instead choose friendship with a charismatic criminal... Overall impression: 45%. ()

angol Certainly a very enjoyable film. A classic 1980s Hollywood crime drama where the cop is played by Kurt Russell, the guy navigating the thin ice is Mel Gibson at the height of his popularity (between the first and second Lethal Weapon), and the gorgeous girl they fight over together is played by none other than the naturally dazzling Michelle Pfeiffer. And although he did not fit on the posters, Raul Julia, whose career soon culminated in the role of Gomez Addams, is also outstanding. The plot is straightforward, but the charm that holds it all together is underlined by the really great cinematography because you can really fall in love with those reddish hues. ()

angol A slow, muddled, very confused and wannabe sunny (about three shots) film, whose yellowish filters you will remember far more than the flat and unremarkable actors. The potential is huge, but it failed to exploit even a tenth of it. Michelle Pfeiffer plays an ordinary slut and Mel Gibson and Kurt Russell are completely unbelievable and flat as friends. Raul Julia also fails to impress with his barking, and the plot full of confusion and incomprehensible characters is a chapter in itself. A film that I searched for several years in the belief that it would be a captivating and intelligent gem that would make me feel the cool 1980s with shots of the sunset. Unfortunately, it's somehow different. A tremendous disappointment. This crime drama has nothing to offer. ()
