Life, death, north, past, question marks, inability to cry - and a Serbian folk song? Next time, I'd rather not. The very emotive drama reaches its evident climax in the middle of the film, at the moment when three fatedly unhappy women lean over a puddle of blood. However, when Bogdan enters the scene, not only does the orchestra follow suit like a great wave, but also a strange and forced tragicomedy, which reduces the relationships built up until then to mundane dialogues. The music does not fit the intimate atmosphere at all, and in the end, it combines with a twist for which I am still searching for an explanation.
