Life, death, north, past, question marks, inability to cry – and a Serbian folk song? Next time, I'd rather not. This very emotive drama reaches its evident climax in the middle of the film, at the moment when three fatedly unhappy women lean over a puddle of blood. And yet when Bogdan comes on the scene, not only does the orchestra follow suit like a great wave, but also a strange and forced tragicomedy, which then reduces the relationships built up thus far to mundane dialogue. The music does not fit the intimate atmosphere at all, and in the end, it combines with a twist for which I am still searching for an explanation.
