West Germany, the mid 60s. Bleak surfaces, hotels, offices, cars speeding by like everywhere in Europe. But here they move differently, they move on different soil. Those hotel rooms, restaurants, billiard tables are meeting places for people who were on different sides of the frontline 20 years ago. The traitors meet the betrayed, the torturers meet the tortured. Old accounts must be settled. That is what those, who have not made peace yet, say. (Moscow International Film Festival)
