Having worked as a policeman in Stockholm for many years, Erik decides to move back to his native village in Norrland, in the north of Sweden, where he is greeted as a hero by his old friends. A great Swedish film that didn’t bore me for a second. The plot was decent, and the casting was perfect (I can only guess which fiercely handsome muscleman would probably get the lead role if this were an American film...), but the writing fell short at times by defying logic. All in all, I was satisfied, so I’m not going to go below four stars. 4*-
