Sounds of Silence

Before anything, I must mention that Sounds of Silence is at best an averagely directed, pitifully written and awfully acted piece of trash. But if you come to terms with that, you’ll enjoy several scenes with a truly thick atmosphere that Peter Borg put together without (I guess) knowing how. I must admit that several times I felt real hints of fear. Dead kids in the bowels of a dilapidated orphanage is not something easy to ruin, innit? Anyway, if you ignore the expectations generated by the current rating (90%), I can cautiously recommend it, it’s a pretty OK horror film to watch once. Available on YouTube. (2011.04.21)
