In a random encounter Luis meets Carmen, whose father Amadeo works as an executioner. They start a romance, must get married, and then they live in a state flat with Amadeo. There is a danger that together with Amadeo's retirement they might lose the flat and the executioner pressures scared Luis to take over the job himself. A superb work that caused outrage amongst Francoist leaders. (Summer Film School)
