Leading the charge is Freddie Prinze Jr. as the title character, a rebellious young orphan. Living in the fantasy world of Jhamora, Delgo and fellow Lockni, including his best friend, Filo (Chris Kattan), and teacher Elder Marley (Michael Duncan Clarke), contend with the occupying Nhorins, ruled by King Zhan (Louis Gossett Jr.). When the delicate truce between the two groups is threatened by the return of King Zhan's exiled sister, Sedessa (Anne Bancroft), Delgo finds an unlikely ally in Nhorin general Bogardus (Val Kilmer) and a romance with King Zhan's daughter Kyla (Jennifer Love Hewitt). angol Delgo is a strange "sort of lizard" variation on Romeo and Juliet, although it lacks some poetic style, and the truth remains that there is not a single character in it who looks even a little bit good-looking graphics-wise. So neither the common butterfly lizards nor the green lizards, nor the trolls (or whatever they were), nor any of the other members of the fauna here are in any way pretty or even particularly interesting. Fantasia is a nice thing, although if you have no sense of aesthetics, all you get is a weird, ugly product at the end of it. The other thing I can confirm is that it is just not funny even when it really tries. However, the Minions-style sketches and even the retarded friend of the main male protagonist were not amusing. The friend, as mentioned earlier, made me feel embarrassed by this movie too many times. If you are into good comedies, or your sense of humor is different from what you see here, then you are going to be out of luck as you are not going to find the humor in this movie funny. Plus, all it is going to bring out in people is an awkward silence or cringe. This movie fails tragically on so many levels. As for the narrative, it is not very original, unpredictable, or even interesting in the slightest. However, that being said, it is watchable and inoffensive. I would even say that the fight scenes, or rather the big battle scenes, were pretty good. Despite being rather nondescript, the animation is not bad, although I did not find the soundtrack particularly great. Still, I have to say that I was expecting more problems, and it could have been much worse (maybe there could have been singing like in Strange Magic). As it is, this movie is so nondescript and bland that it did not impress me, even though I did not suffer too much either. 3.7/10. ()
