Olcsó tévés thriller egyetlen jó (meglepő) jelenettel és egyetlen jól eljátszott karakterrel (a fiatal Remo). Globálisan azonban az egyetlen dolog, amiben a film kevésbé bukott meg, mint Argento előző Sleepless című műve, a működő logika. A többi csak állott víz a félig elhalt virágok öntözéséhez. Ne fáradj, inkább nézd meg a hasonló, de technikailag jó és a végén jobban eszkalálódó Gyilkosság online című filmet.

The Italian movie The Card Player shows that even relatively recently, Dario Argento made a good movie, with suspense, action, and quite gruesome in places. The thing with the nails was really good. However, it seems his best days are behind him now as this movie could have been gorier and had a better ending, making it very good indeed.
