The Last American Hero

Junior Jackson grew up in North Carolina where he used his driving skills to outrun the law while helping his father in the moonshine business. But when his father is jailed for selling the illegal whiskey, Junior decides to use his talent to become a professional stock car racer and earn enough money to get his dad a good lawyer so he can be released. Junior rises to the top of his new profession, becoming a famous racer, but chafes against the corporate side of professional sports.
