I thought it was just going to be another ordinary adaptation. And sure, it is because you get what you expect from Gulliver's Travels, but it's a bit deeper in how Gulliver's past intertwines with the present, as he tries to come to terms with events. The cast of actors further spices up the film nicely.

The only film adaptation of Swift's novel that covers it in its entirety. Not only the audience's gratifying Lilliputania, but also the rest of the novel – the land of giants, the wise men, etc – and that deserves praise. Ted Danson as Gulliver is alright, and the visual effects are top notch considering the budget. Although the story does not avoid some traditional Hollywood tropes, especially at the end, it is a decent film.

A pretty good spectacle that reduced the thought potential of Swift's masterpieces to the necessary minimum, but added form to what it had lost his spirit – there's really something to see, and the excellent Ted Danson in the lead role is able to evoke sympathy for the character with the fate and various elements of Dr. Gulliver. Moreover, even the few key notions of screenwriter Simon Moore have been preserved. I had a great time, which is rarely the case with television "narrative" films.
