While Claudio Fragasso's other movies (especially those from 1990, Night Killer and Troll 2) are lucky enough to be extremely awful and as stupid as a bucket of lime, and also incredibly entertaining and funny, Beyond Darkness is just awful, dumb, and boring. It's a bunch of all sorts of ideas stolen from the movies Poltergeist, The Exorcist, The Amityville Horror, and The Evil Dead, but without any added value, or, at least, some humorously moronic dialogue and hysterical acting performances, so that the movie-goer could at least "somehow" have fun even after resigning to a serious experience. Now, I can't think of anything good that could be highlighted about this movie. Yawn.
