Where the Day Takes You

Stripped of sentimentality, this film visits homeless teens and young adults who survive on the margins of society. Living by begging, theft and prostitution, this loose-knit community forms an extended family. King (Dermot Mulroney) is the unofficial patriarch looking after the motley crew of addicts and runaways. He especially works hard to keep Greg (Sean Astin), a troubled boy, away from a local drug dealer. But all King's street smarts are not enough to protect his friends from danger.
