A comedy in which the biggest, or rather the only, joke is an unplanned shot in which a fly sits on someone’s nose. What was perhaps intended to be an Italian variation on the rural comedies that abounded in German cinema at the time breaks down into pure impotence, which permeates not only the long shots of inaction in the bedroom, where the actors lie on each other and pretend to passionately kiss, but also the extremely shoddy screenplay, the overall craftsmanship and the attempts at humour, which are limited to dreadful grimacing and awkward lechery.
