Moulin Rouge

Moulin Rouge (2001)

Sometimes I tell myself that it's hardly possible for there to exist such a precisely balanced border between deafening noise and indescribable beauty. A highly romantic affair, in which a tremendous amount of tension lies hidden, led by my favorite film scene of all time: The hiding of the main couple, ingeniously built up to the perfect Because she doesn't love you! moment. The pinnacle of cinematography and the most emotionally captivating affair. Thank you, Mr. Luhrmann, for the best film I have ever seen.

A Gyűrűk Ura - A Gyűrű Szövetsége

A Gyűrűk Ura - A Gyűrű Szövetsége (2001)

Pilgrims in the twilight land, do not despair, for the sun will eventually shine through the forests. Every forest ends, that is certain. And the sun shines over the plains, whether it rises or sets. The key moment for my perspective on the world is connected precisely with this text. When Frodo sang it in the book, I felt a resonance with the character like never before or since. Tolkien has gradually become my brightest literary icon and The Lord of the Rings my favorite book. The film continues this trend and the complete ensemble cast, led by the charismatic Mortensen, the enchanting Wood, and Sean Astin as my beloved Sam, created the most radiant team. The most magical film in history can be fully appreciated in the extended version - only there will you feel the fate of the elves on your own skin, just like in the original. A milestone film for the history of cinema and for my life.

Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump (1994)

My most emotionally fulfilled film. With no other film have I experienced that the more times I saw it, the more times it brought tears to my eyes. Zemeckis has forever stepped out of the "master of family films" box with this masterpiece, and millions of people will forever love Hank's elusive character. In other words, whether you are a sentimental person with faith in love, a skeptical melancholic who no longer sees joy, or perhaps a life-disappointed unhappy person, everyone can find themselves in Forrest. Is it too perfect of a film? Eternal thanks for it.

A forrás

A forrás (2006)

The work, which completely defies any categorization or evaluation. What I saw is indeed a masterpiece, which is unique and will probably remain so forever. Darren Aronofsky created a work that redefines cinematography and that the current audience is not yet prepared for (as evidenced by minimal box office receipts in the US and a disastrous distribution strategy here). You can take The Fountain as a captivating romantic drama about sacrifice, help, and hope, as a charming philosophical work that, however, does not try (as some mistakenly believe) to find the meaning of life, but shows the path to immortality and in the end, you can only look at it as a brilliantly directed, wonderfully acted, and fascinatingly music-accented experience. In a few decades, future generations will envy us that we could see it in the cinema and finally appreciate it.

A falu

A falu (2004)

With each subsequent viewing, a more fantastic experience from places that few can penetrate, but once you come, it’s difficult to find a way back through the woods. And maybe you won't even look for it. Shyamalan is a master from another world.

Igazából szerelem

Igazából szerelem (2003)

Those of you who would ever pay gold for just a pinch of good mood, I invite you all to pre-Christmas London. I have seen many performances and I can recite the lines by heart, but a while ago Curtis stole me away again, so I can't fully return to my thoughts. In Love Actually, everything is heavenly, and therefore there may be something that might not appeal to you. However, there is also so much amazingness in it that when I add up the shy guys, Hugh Grant and Colin Firth, the triumphant Bill Nighy, the unforgettable Keira Knightley, the discreet angel Rowan Atkinson, or the few seconds of magical cameo by Elisha Cuthbert, there is too much perfection in one movie. The best romantic comedy and one of my top 10.

Egy különc srác feljegyzései

Egy különc srác feljegyzései (2012)

Do you ever think, that if people knew how crazy you really were that no one would ever talk to you? All the time, dear friends. All the time.

Titanic

Titanic (1997)

Romantic drama that breaks hearts with every viewing, subtle jokes that, in the viewer's adulthood, reveal how complex Titanic truly is, and above all, Cameron's life's work. Only with a decent, soon to be twenty-year gap and the fading of the last remnants of the uncontrollable hype from the turn of the century, can the greatness of the entire spectacle be fully appreciated. Unsinkable, unforgettable, and practically flawless. And I have no doubt that it will continue to grow.

Eredet

Eredet (2010)

A perfect delight for Nolan's pleasure. What this directorial master has most enjoyed in his films, he enjoys to the very last second in Inception. Whether it's the main character full of internal conflicts in an environment much larger than himself, ambiguous conclusions, or, not least, several plot lines alternating at the center of the action (this delight, so proven in The Dark Knight, is taken to the furthest possible maximum here). In short, we are getting all the tricks that have ever made us shake our heads - in one impressive package that wraps around you so tightly from the first few minutes that there is nothing else to do but hungrily follow the fateful story threads. And when Leonardo DiCaprio finishes his acting megaperformance and Hans Zimmer finishes the music, it is clear. A new movie life-changer has arrived.

Drive - Gázt!

Drive - Gázt! (2011)

A ride that slams you hard into your seat and doesn't want to let go for a long time. Suspenseful to the bursting point, more action-packed than Michael Mann and ideas packed into the last second. We have seen plenty of gangsters and silent heroes on the screen for quite some time. But to simply have to run back to the cinema the next day to watch a movie again, that has never happened to me before. Even if I had to just observe the continuity of slow scenes or savor every tone of the soundtrack.
