Necrotongue

The doctor was in a wonderfully grumpy mood that lasted throughout. I was also pleasantly surprised by the comforting message that even with worsening eyesight, as long as you can see outlines, you're good to go.

Season 2 had practically the same effect on me as the previous season. Even the weaker episodes were worth at least four stars. I had a great time all along. I really appreciate that there are no truly positive characters in the series. It’s about constant elaborate intrigue and cynicism, which makes me excited for more.

The season finale was packed with excitement and wrapped up what the previous episode started. The atmosphere was spot-on, the plot was anything but slow, and it was brimming with events. Axelrod’s move into the shadows was particularly thrilling. This one definitely earned five stars.

If I complained about the lack of intrigue in the previous episode, the creators definitely shut me up this time. I wouldn’t have believed I’d enjoy watching Chuck track stock market moves so much, but here we are. The episode was full of twists (and some literal turns), had great pacing, and an excellent atmosphere. I had a blast watching it.

Once again, I faced a dilemma. The episode was engaging and interesting, never boring, but it focused too much on the marital issues in the Axelrod family. While this adds depth to the characters, I missed the usual amount of scheming and intrigue.

After an amazing episode, this one felt like a bit of a letdown. The plot didn't move forward much, and the pacing slowed noticeably. With other shows, I'd probably rate this lower, but even a weaker episode of Billions keeps me entertained. So, I can't give it less than four stars.

A five-star episode. It had excellent pacing and atmosphere, with intense scheming in both the financial and political arenas. On top of that, the DA's office made some tentative moves to build a new case against Axe Capital. There was definitely a lot to watch, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The episode maintained the show's usual quality. It’s intriguing to watch Bobby struggle with his financial plans, a stark contrast to the first season. There was plenty of scheming, but it still lacked that extra something to make me give it a full five stars.

Another great episode. The story moved along nicely, the atmosphere was spot on, and the scheming was in full swing. I realized that the show lacks typical good guys, which is refreshing — enough of the boring boy scouts. I’m curious to see how things unfold, as Chikatilo has set an intriguing game in motion.

Things picked up again. The plotting and scheming returned, bringing back the engaging atmosphere and pacing. Damian Lewis got another chance to show off his knack for playing cold-blooded characters. A welcome improvement after the previous episode. 5*-
