Necrotongue

This time I added one star because Lenka Krobotová revived the terrifying suffering of the Geislerová/Havelka duo and because I received valuable advice in life that it is good to dilute strong juice with vodka. While I'm quite bothered when I have to watch love between two guys, lesbians have never evoked negative feelings in me, so I evaluate the embryo of something during the massage positively.

There have been practically no changes compared to the previous episode. Hynek Čermák delivers the best acting performance out of all the participants, Anna Polívková is the funniest, and Jitka Čvančarová is the sexiest. So those were the positives. The script remains strangely barren, and the scenes with Aňa Geislerová and Jiří Havelka raise suspicions in me that their characters suffer from a personality disorder.

The first episode really disappointed me, even though I was excited about the cast and the director, the series started off incredibly stupid with a scene featuring an idiotic cyclist, followed by a catastrophically bad dialogue between Ana Geislerova and Jiri Havelka. After this introduction, I really wanted to stop watching, but luckily Anna Polivkova managed to entertain me, Jitka Cvarcova appeared, who I always enjoy watching, as usual, Hynek Cermak impressed me, and in the end, this lineup managed to earn two stars through hard work. "I have a mouth like a cross between a panda and a squirrel."

The series had an interesting format: six episodes + a feature-length film at the end. The individual episodes were a little longer than I'm used to, the pace was literally lazy in places, and there was hardly any action, but I still had a good time from the first episode to the action-packed finale. I have to praise the cast, all the characters seemed perfectly natural, I thought the sheriff Bill McNue was especially good and of course Alice Fletcher, because I just love Michelle Dockery. I was intrigued by a strange custom in the little town of La Belle: if you want a man, shoot one. Unconventional, but obviously functional.

Everything turned out in the end as I expected, so I would normally deduct stars for predictability, but... How could a Western TV series with this concept turn out? The final episode was great and I didn't mind at all that Griffin lost more than 150% of men, especially when the creators mixed the right atmosphere, action, and suspense.

I have been thinking about when the creators will move Frank Griffin to La Belle for five episodes, and finally I have clarity. Those bastards really investigated it all the way to the final episode. I enjoyed the flashbacks the whole time, and it was the same this time, only the final one shocked me a little bit. Did wives really see off local miners for every shift like this? I am from a mining region, but I am sure it doesn't work like this here.

The title of the episode was not successful for the creators, I would name it: "How Frank Met Roy". So far, it was the shortest episode from what I have seen, and the ending credits genuinely surprised me. The longer I watch the series, the more I doubt that Frank is the biggest problem of the town "La Belle".

The story continues at its own pace (i.e. slowly), but considering the episodes I have seen so far, I have gotten used to it, the gradual progress suits me and I like how the creators manage to give the characters the necessary depth. Unexpectedly, I was even exposed to humor, the hunting trip really amused me.

Truth be told, the plot has a somewhat sluggish pace again, but when there is some action, it is worth it. I noticed that with each new episode, the atmosphere subtly thickens, and it's not hard to guess why. I assume that the story will accelerate nicely in the final episode, but I have been enjoying the series since the first episode, and no one is probably more surprised by that than me.

Special, not even the second episode brought any significantly interesting plot, and yet I was not bored. I would bet that if it were possible to transmit smells and scents along with sound and image, among all the sweat, horse musk, and Frank's aging hand, I would feel ozone like before a storm.
