Amerikai pite 3. - Az esküvő (2003)

angol I thought that "Svatba" was a great ending to an excellent series, but as it turned out, the best was yet to come. I automatically give a high rating to the "Prcičky" because they are movies that genuinely make me laugh. There aren't as many movies like that. "Svatba" is a great compilation of diverse gags that are good, better, and even better. This is Steve Stifler's film, and it mainly revolves around him, even though it should actually revolve around the wedding. But as soon as Stifler appears, it's an incredible spectacle. I enjoyed every second with him, and when he spoke with a mouth full of crap, I couldn't control myself at all. Maybe the jokes aren't the best, they aren't always original, but they are delivered excellently. No, it's not about the story for me, it's about the feeling I take away. And that feeling is great. Excellent. Unique. I don't have similar feelings after watching a movie very often. More: http://www.filmovy-denik.cz/2012/04/prcicky-bruce-lee-par-trapnosti.html

Amerikai pite 2. (2001)

angol Second sequels are not always successful, and "Prciček 2" definitely wasn't. It was basically just about the old gang getting back together a year after graduation to party at a fancy bash. It's once again Jim and his dad's concert and Stifler's insults. Lines like "Fuck my stick," "Santa porn star," or "Artificial cocks for everyone" are unforgettable, as well as the scene with the glue, which can happen to anyone. The film's mythology is further developed, some relationships form, others end. The film is a preview of what is yet to come, but it doesn't lack its charm, which is among other things also in the amazing soundtrack, which is simply perfectly chosen. Everything is geared towards the young, the partying, and the wilderness, but in a way that doesn't discourage even someone like me who doesn't party. Amerikai pite (1999)

angol The fourth regular continuation of the film "Prci, prci, prcičky" made it to the cinema, so I thought it would be nice to remember them. It's not a brilliant film, but it's a good film, no doubt about it. For me, it was a huge milestone because I hadn't seen a similar comedy before. Actually, nobody had seen a similar comedy before. It was vulgar, truly vulgar, with exposed breasts, sex with a pie, and Stifler. A perfectly mixed cocktail that didn't need a great story because it relied on good jokes, memorable characters, and just the right amount of obscenities and nonsense, which meant one thing - young people would be thrilled, their parents would faint, and the film would be forbidden to them. I didn't have the film forbidden, and I think it influenced me a lot. I am vulgar, and I take it for granted, I use curses and quotes from the film. I grew up with "Prcičky" and I'm not ashamed of it. The film is still good for me, and I'll gladly watch it again sometime. So my rating is very subjective.

Amerikai pite: A találkozó (2012)

angol I don't care what critics say about this film. I don't care if someone will criticize it. I don't care that none of the actors are big stars and they took the film because it suited them, because this is simply a film for people. It is full of humor, both good and awkward - but the good outweighs the awkward by far - it is full of great lines and characters that you want to come back to. A beautiful nostalgia came over me, I couldn't hold back my emotions. I know it's because I live a little bit in a fictional world, but that's just how it is with age. There is so much film and literature that it's easy to detach oneself from reality. But when I saw the five of them (Jim, Kev, Oz, Finch, and Stifler) marching to the reunion, I felt happy. It was like I really met up with the old gang. A wonderful experience that I haven't had in the cinema for a long time. I wish there would be a sequel, I doubt it for now, but it would be great. I would go to the cinema for that. "American Reunion" did something that "Snowdrops and Macho Men 25 Years Later" couldn't do. It combined humor and nostalgia in such a cocktail that is funny, touching, and not just a walk through a museum where everyone has aged and gained weight and simply have nothing to say anymore. Jim and his gang still have something to say, because they know how to entertain. For me personally, one of the best cinema experiences. Seeing people leave happy with a smile on their face is an incredible reward for the creators of the film. I was also one of those who had to come back to the lines, repeat the scenes. An unforgettable experience. If I had to rate it in percentages, I would give it 90%, and I say that completely seriously. "Hunger Games" is nowhere near as boring and tedious. Az éhezők viadala (2012)

angol The viewer in Hunger Games apparently got what he wanted. The pseudo-original theme, which is killed by the burden of romance and seemingly tough scenes, in shots that want to appear so artistically that they sound cheap. Never mind that the film devoured all the interesting ideas that this theme should have. Just as long as there are cool heroes, some tender love, and especially incredibly terrible costumes, for which the film deserves a Raspberry award, preferably rotten. Amerikai gengszter (2007)

angol Ridley Scott, my eternal film enemy. I don't seek out his movies, but sometimes they find their way to me, just like the three-hour "American Gangster" did. You might ask why someone who doesn't love Scott would watch one of his longest films. One reason is that it was somewhat of a challenge. The second reason is that I did some work on the film, so it didn't bother me that much. "American Gangster" is not a bad film because Russell Crowe - and it's hard to admit this - is simply a good actor. Similarly, Denzel Washington, who perhaps overly resembles his pose in "Training Day". The film is a nice look at the end of the 60s and a real-life African-American gangster who took over the New York drug underworld but ultimately paid for it. Not terribly, because he then exposed everyone he could and the detective who caught him became his advocate and secured a reduced sentence for him. Frank Lucas is still among us and Ridley Scott presents his interesting story to us, which is skillfully directed, supported by great actors, but it just somehow lacks the right emotions. A good biographical film. More: http://www.filmovy-denik.cz/2012/04/diar-milovnika-filmu-c-005-reziser.html

Hanna - Gyilkos természet (2011)

angol Who would have thought that Joe Wright ("Pride and Prejudice" or "Atonement") would direct an action film. And anyone can say whatever they want, but this is nothing else. I refuse to hear any talk about it being an artistic action movie, that it has something more to it. It doesn't. It is an action film with well-executed action sequences, of which there aren't that many, but in between, there should be something human that is supposed to get to us. It didn't get to me and I had the feeling that I was only watching a tedious story about how one evil agent is supposed to die, and how for that, one quite crazy father - Eric Bana, who eventually can actually act a little when he isn't on screen for too long - is teaching his daughter in the wilderness, which is actually... No, I won't introduce that stupid sci-fi point to you. I have a feeling that it was only supposed to bring something "existential" to the film, but at the same time, I think that Joe simply missed the mark and should have left the screenplay to some B-movie makers. Fargo (1996)

angol Finally! For the third time, I finally managed to watch and finish "Fargo". I don't understand how it's actually possible, but I watched the film twice before, but each time it ended at the scene on the road where a few people get brutally beaten. People around me stared at me like I was some sort of oddity for not having seen "Fargo" yet, and it's true that I felt sorry for myself too because I really wanted to see the film. So, finally, I got to watch it and I made sure that the Coen brothers are simply geniuses. The dialogues that one listens to are so human, stupid, and yet masterful that one wonders and realizes that they are watching a very, very dark comedy/drama. But it can't rely solely on the dialogues, those dialogues must be delivered by people who know how to act. What Frances McDormand, Steve Buscemi, and William H. Macy perform is simply incredible. They are captivating, and Frances absolutely deserves her Oscar. The film is harsh, it's cynical, but it's human and realistic. This is one of those films that strikes you because it's based on a true story. More: http://www.filmovy-denik.cz/2012/04/diar-milovnika-filmu-c-005-reziser.html

Elvitte a víz (2006)

angol In the movie, there are the best voices of famous actors, such as Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Ian McKellen, Bill Nighy, Jean Reno, or Andy Serkis, but if you watch the film in Czech, you won't get anything from it. When I was watching the movie, about halfway through, I realized that I had already seen it. This is not a good realization, and it only confirms the fact that the film is not exceptional or memorable in any way. It's just another animated film, with an abundance of rats, which Pixar utilized much better in their "Ratatouille". The humor is not that clever, there is some playing on grotesque, which must simply be done well, and the essence of the whole story is not extraordinary, playing with clichés such as the "unexpected" last-minute return, annoying intruder, ridiculous villain, etc. This is already a film for children, which they will probably enjoy, but do not let them watch it until they are still little. Zsenikém - Az ügynök haláli (2008)

angol After the movie "Evan Almighty," I wasn't really in the mood for Steve Carell, but I told myself that I would survive it because of Anne Hathaway. I chose a good movie because Carell showed that he can do comedy. His humor is on one hand Carrey-esque, but on the other hand, he has a stone face, as if he studied acting from Buster Keaton. Neither of them reaches great heights in the movie, but they both try, my boy. His stupid Smart, a bit like Clouseau, is not a new character, the story is nothing exceptional, and it just copies "Johnny English," but there are still moments where one can laugh.
