First album Fancypants Hoodlum (1995) was released under her origin name Merrill Beth Nisker. Since that time she was building her artistic style and figure known as the Peaches. She is known as an electronic musician and performance artist, whose songs are noted for disregarding traditional gender norms and for their use of sexually explicit lyrics.
