Stefan Haupt

Stefan Haupt was born in Zurich in 1961. He is the founder of Fontana Film and was the president of the Swiss Filmmakers and Screenwriters Association from 2008 to 2010. His films include Utopia Blues (2001), which won the Swiss Film award for Best Feature and the Max Ophüls Festival Award; Sagrada: El misteri de la creació (2012), which was presented at the Semaine de la critique in Locarno, and Finsteres Glück (2016). The Circle (2014) won the Teddy Award for Best Documentary/Essay Film at the Berlinale in 2014, the Panorama Audience Award and the 2015 Swiss Film Award for Best Feature and Best Screenplay.
