Tom Lin

After receiving an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts in 2002, Lin moved to Taiwan and quickly established himself in the film industry, working with such luminaries as Tsai Ming-Liang and Doze Niu. In 2005, he directed the short The Pain of Others (2005), and, in 2008, his first feature, Winds of September (2008), which was followed by Starry Starry Night (2012).
