He is a researcher, curator, filmmaker, and editor who has been actively engaged in the artistic realm since 1985. Since the late 1990s, he has focused his efforts on two significant projects: the F.X. Archive and the P.H. Machine. Through these platforms, he has spearheaded the Independent Platform of Modern and Contemporary Flamenco Studies. The main objective of this platform is to broaden the scope of flamenco studies by incorporating tools from aesthetics, art history, visual studies, and innovative perspectives derived from cultural studies, anthropology, and sociology.
