Ebru Ceylan

Co-writer of the 2014 Palme d'or-winning Winter Sleep, Ebru Ceylan was born in Ankara. She began making photographs at an early age and participated in various solo and group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. She studied cinema at university in Istanbul. Her first short film Kiyida (On the Edge), has been selected for the Short Films Competition at the Festival de Cannes in 1998.
