David Zonana has collaborated in the production of Lucía Films projects such as 600 millas (600 Miles, Gabriel Ripstein, 2015), Chronic (Michel Franco, 2015) and Las hijas de abril (April’s Daughters, Michel Franco, 2017), all of which competed in Horizontes Latinos at San Sebastian. He directed the short films Princesa (2014), Sangre alba (2016) and Hermano (2017), released at numerous festivals in Mexico and around the world. He was hailed by Variety as one of Mexican cinema’s emerging talents. The screenplay of Mano de obra (Workforce), his first feature film, received an award at the IX BoliviaLab and at Guanajuato International Festival’s 16th National Screenwriting Contest. It was also selected to participate in the Sundance-Morelia Lab in 2018.
