Although he was born in Chile in 1975, he moved to Spain the next year. He qualified as a television cameraman and attended to a film workshop given by the Spanish director Benito Rabal. In 1994 he returned Chile, to study at ARCIS University, where he graduated in 1997 as a Film and Television director. His short films have been selected in several international festivals. His filmography includes: El abrazo (1998); Los tripulantes (2002); y ¡Invisible! (2004).
