Michael Kutza is an award-winning filmmaker, a graphic designer, and the founder of the Chicago International Film Festival. He has been a jury member for many film festivals in international locations as diverse as Taormina, Tehran, Moscow, Manila, Bogotá, Los Angeles, Cannes, Berlin, and Jerusalem. He has also served as an advisor to a number of other festivals, including the Berlin International Film Festival and the Locarno International Film Festival. From 1979 to 1991, Kutza was the American film correspondent for the Italian journal II Tempo. He has received numerous awards for his cultural achievements, including the French Legion of Honor and the Italian Cavaliere Award, the highest honors in their respective countries. He founded his own creative consulting firm, focused on individual feature films and design projects.
