Jude Ratnam

Director and social activist, born in Sri Lanka. He worked for a nongovernmental organization before becoming a filmmaker. He obtained a degree in sociology and psychology from the University of Kamaraj in southern India and began studying cinema at the School of Media Art and Management in Sri Lanka. He is also a film critic and co-founder of the Colombo Film Circle, and manager of the KRITI-A Work of Art production company.
