A screenwriter and director, she has been developing, directing and producing film, television and theatre for over 20 years. Her work as a screenwriter and director (the feature films La puerta abierta, Madres 0’15 el minuto and the shorts La boda, El cortejo and L’ultima opportunitá) have earned her three Goya Award nominations and more than 300 awards at national and international festivals. With her production company, she won the Ojo Crítico de Radio Nacional de España Award and has been nominated several times for the Max Awards for the Performing Arts. With the screenplay for her feature Empieza el baile, she has won the Julio Alejandro Screenplay Award for Best Ibero-American Screenplay from the SGAE Foundation and the First Prize at the Co- Production Meeting at the Seville Film Festival.
